Survival guide to: Swamp Cinema

If this is your first time playing on the server, or only heard about it, your gonna want to read this post. It will have all the things you will need to know to survive in Swamp Cinema.

Swamp Cinema is one of the most popular and crazy servers on Gmod. But it is not at all for the light hearted. If your are 12 and under, I sugjest you avoid this server until your over 13 at least.

STEP 1: Getting started

If your gonna want to stay here for awhile your gonna have to know the map and its players. The first thing your gonna want to do is explore the map. Watch how everyone behaves and interacts with each other. It is best when starting out to keep your mouth shut and just observe.

STEP 2: Fitting in

So you've spent a good hour or half an hour exploring the map and meeting the locals. You feel as if you are one of them now, right? WRONG! You do not fit in at all yet. But there still is hope for you. One of the best things you'll want to do is change your playermodel to avoid harrassment. Simply press ctrl + F3 to open up the shop menu. Either pick a playermodel under the playermodel tab, or click on the "customize playermodel" button. From here you get all the defalt playermodels for Gmod. Just pick one and your good to go!

STEP 3: Meeting others

Now this might sound easy, but it is a very fragile thing to do here in Swamp Cinema. One wrong word and you will be the laughing stalk of the whole server for a month or two. The thing is here, everyone harrasses everyone. So when talking to people, DO NOT tell them embarassing things about yourself, cause the next thing you know, they'll be boradcasting it out to the entire server. As we said before, try to keep your mouth shut and observe. Find out what people like. See how they communicate. You may end up becoming the greatest person to talk to on the server, but for now, just keep your mouth zipped.

STEP 4: Posting videos

Now this is our last and biggest topic in this guide. But I assure you that you will apreciate listening to this information. Posting a video sounds easy, you just find an empty theater, find a video from youtube, post it, and watch. But note that other people are in there with you. They will judge you on what you watch as well as what you say or do. So try not to post anything "Cancerous" or "Gay". Note that not all the theaters are in the main building. Some other theaters can be located in the church to the right of the entrance, in a mining shack underground, in the sewers, at a hot tub, in the basement and even on the moon.

Here is some extra advice when playing on the server:

If your younger than 18, it is highly stressed that you keep the mature content filters on. On Swamp Cinema, more porn is pumped into the chat than plastic is thrown into the ocean each year. And its not the everyday naked woman porn, its much worse.

Try not to harrass others. This can negatively impact your reputation on the server. Remember the words of Confusious: "Treat others the way you want to be treated"

If people are killing you while your trying to watch videos, just simply sit down in a chair. (Warning: dose not make you invunerable to Allah)

The admins on this server will only help you if there is a seroius problem (If someone is hacking or D-dossing the server). This means if you get into a verbal argument with someone, your on your own and have to tough it out.

PEOPLE RANDOMLY KILLING YOU IS ALLOWED. Do not complain to the admins about people killing you! The admin will not help, and your giving the person who is killing you the reaction he wants.

So now you should have a basic understanding on how to behave and play on Swamp Cinema. Theres nothing much left to say now other than good luck and have fun!
