Steam emails not going through
So starting today I haven't been getting any emails from steam. I bought a couple of items off of the community market, and never got the recipet for them. I also have tried to trade a few times, but since I'm not getting the email that allows me to confirm it, I cannot complete it. I have tried looking in different folders, such as my spam folder, and I've searched for a solution, but all I've found is a reddit post from about 12 hours ago that never really came up with a solution. Anyone else have this issue, and if so, has anyone found a solution for it?
(Btw I'm using hotmail)

Dumb question--Are the accounts associated with your hotmail account? Most people these days have more than one email account

Edit: It may be an issue with Hotmail. Check this post here:

My steam account is connected to my Hotmail / Outlook email. It's the only one that I use. From what I can tell from other's stories, Hotmail / Outlook is the only email service that is having issues.

Try this fix from the link I sent:

1. Login to hotmail.
2. Click options (right top corner)
3. Click "Safe and blocked senders"
4. Click "Safe senders"
5. Add support@steampowered.com as safe sender.
6. Login to steam to re-send access code / retrieve lost account.
7. Check email

I didn't try to retrieve lost account, since I'm already logged in, but I did mark both support@steampowered.com and noreply@steampowered.com as safe, and then tried to confirm a trade, but I'm still not getting an email. I know noreply@steampowered.com sends the trade confimation, but I'm not getting it.

Quick question for you guys: Do you all use Hotmail / Outlook?
IronGiant Feb 11, 2015 @ 3:45am
Yes it is Hotmail/Outlook related. Best suggestion is to create a gmail account and use it specifically for Steam. I use gmail and get NO ISSUES!

Yeah, but there is one issue with that. I was on another forum about this same topic, and they figured out how to switch there email over to a gmail account. The only problem with that is you get a 5 day trading ban for doing it. If you don't do trading, then I guess this would be the best option, but it's a bit of an issue for me. I'll give it another day to see if it's fixed, but if it isn't tomorrow I'll switch emails.

Its a trade off, sure. But it is to insure no one is getting scammed. I recieved a new account for Steam and I have to wait 15 days with Steam Guard enabled. 5 down, 10 to go. 5 days is not too bad of a wait!

Same, steam is not on the blocked list but no Steam guard emails come through.
"Thank you for you purchase" emails still work.
I've never had this issue before, even received a steam guard mail last week.
