Is there any effective way to find real gamers to add as friend on Steam?
There are so many fake accounts that is catfishing, scam or just don't play games at all

i mean, these relationships are supposed to be natural

maybe joining a discord server about a game in particular (mmo, minecraft etc) will help for that?

In the multiplayer games where you can chat, you can already find other people who you can then add to the Steam Friend list. But it is not guaranteed that these people will play the same games more than once. Most of the people on my Steam Friend list are only there for one specific game. It often happened to me that I was relatively good at a game, or had interesting or funny chats, and then the Steam friend requests came relatively quickly. But then later I never had anything else to do with most of these people. And the people who are still on my Steam Friend list now.... are not real (real life) friends, of course, and I would never try to find something like real friends via Steam. You can certainly find game buddies, probably also in Steam groups for a specific game or on the game's discussion board, or in the reviews. But I think most of these are temporary contacts. In general, I would say you can't trust people or “friends” over the internet. Nowadays, AI programs are also particularly good at faking other people's identities. And there are also really bad people, also at Steam! Please always be careful.
I don't think this exists yet, but it would be a good idea if there would exist a friends search function that you could use to search for people who play the same games as you. You know: few of the same games, and similar amount of hours in games, and that you then get these people displayed. Or if you could search for even more specific criteria, such as age or gender or interests... But as I said, the internet is full of liars & scammers....
