Intel NUC i5 with HD6000... VRAM showing as -0.00GB
Just got an Intel NUC i5 model with the i5-5250U and HD 6000 graphics... put in 16GB of RAM and an M.2 250GB Samsung SSD... put SteamOS on it without a hitch... Running the beta Steam client inside.

I noticed in the System menu, the video chip is recognized for what it is, but the VRAM shows as -0.00GB. General performance all around feels "off". Even though streaming games the overlay says a solid 60FPS, it feels more like choppy 30FPS (that's streaming from a beefy Windows 10 machine with a 980 Ti SC)... performance in some inde games (tried Rocketbirds and some others) was super choppy. I'm guessing it has to do with the video chip not getting utilized properly. Anyone else have a similar setup with similar issues?

Oh... and I'm on a fully Cat-6 tip-to-tip Gigabit wired network running through a high-end Cisco switch, so network isn't the issue (I can stream beautifully to my Steam Link)

I don't know anything about the Intel NUC but I don't think they're really designed for gaming, are they? SteamOS doesn't really play nice with integrated graphics as far as I know
AMD GPUs the VRAM is also -0.00GB

I didn't buy it for heavy gaming... only light indie games... most of what it will do is streaming from my main rig

Is it the size of the game that matters in regards to whether or not it will work with integrated graphics?

It's not the size, it's how graphically intensive they are... the indie games I tried (mainly the 2D games) actually run decent on it (in Windows 10 at least)

Oh ok, I see what you're saying now
This happened for me as well, while using my crappy PC.

This same bug still exists for AMD as well iirc. It doesn't mean you have no vram, just that Steam can't detect it.
