Vlc for steamos
Just wondering if there is an updated way to get VLC or even the updated codecs for the pre-installed video player being that the last post that I saw for installing any video players was posted anywhere from 2013-2016

I had actually followed that post and had received an error when I tried to install vlc, I will post the error code once I get on my computer in a few minutes
Did you try to "apt-get" in terminal?
Also you can install it without apt-get

Ok, so the error that I get after doing
sudo apt-get install -t jessie vlc
is
The following packages have unmet dependencies: vlc : Depends: libgles1-mesa (>= 7.8.1) but it is not going to be installed or libgles1 E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.

Try to install/reinstall libgles1-mesa

How would I do that? Just apt-get install libgles1-mesa? Or apt-get install -t jessie libgles1-mesa?
