In the mean time though, you can replace the queue.m3u8 file with whatever selection of music you want. All you need is a different music player that can create m3u8 playlists.
E.g. using VLC on Windows
1. Close Steam
2. Open VLC, Media>Open Folder, and open the folder that leads to your music
3. Then Media>Save Playlist To File... and save it to C:\Program Files\music\_database\queue.m3u8, replacing that URL with whatever path to steam you have.
4.Restart Steam, set the music player to shuffle, and you're away.
