Desperately Needing a "Shuffle All Music" Function
As it stands right now, you can only play music based on artist or album.
Or you'd have to individually add each album or artist to a queue or playlist.

It'd be much more user friendly if there were a Shuffle All Music button.

Really thats the only thing that seems to be missing from the Steam Music Player.

Its not very intuitive at the moment. Most people want their music to be playing in the background, while they do other things.

Agreed.

In the mean time though, you can replace the queue.m3u8 file with whatever selection of music you want. All you need is a different music player that can create m3u8 playlists.

E.g. using VLC on Windows
1. Close Steam
2. Open VLC, Media>Open Folder, and open the folder that leads to your music
3. Then Media>Save Playlist To File... and save it to C:\Program Files\music\_database\queue.m3u8, replacing that URL with whatever path to steam you have.
4.Restart Steam, set the music player to shuffle, and you're away.

Just wanted to say thanks for this Hitcherland, worked great. I hope they add this option in the future as well.
