Your enthusiasm is appreciated but this is the Steam Linux User Group and only games that are currently available on Steam will be considered for scheduling. Once Hedgewars meets that criteria, an event can be created.

5,000 players among how many? At some point, you have to let reality sink in. Blizzard is not interested in Linux. Let it go, run what you can in Wine and move along.

Just my 2 cents.

EDIT: Or don't run Blizzard games at all, if you take issue with using Wine.

You can check SteamDB[steamdb.info]. It has a list of confirmed working titles[steamdb.info] and a list of titles with possible Linux support[steamdb.info]. The confirmed titles are tested by Linux users to ensure they work and the list of possible Linux titles is based solely on changes in a game's repos.

This was originally posted as a "Surprise Event." The goal was to host an event for Rocket League on that day as long as the port arrived this month. Since the beta has been fairly well received, we're going to hold an event.

Guess I got lucky. Or maybe it's that my Windows install is on another hard drive.

I'm confident that this is affecting a small minority of people and there is a root cause that hasn't been determined yet. Whenever something like this happens, you'll always hear about the issues because few are going to a forum to post how well the upgrade went.

Linux hasn't always had the best run of installation/upgrades with other OS's either. Partitions lost after Ubuntu installs[encrypted.google.com]. Not picking on Ubuntu, but it's a fairly common "first distro."

Thanks for sharing. This is something to keep in mind for those dual-booting or running Windows on a separate machine.
