How can i join in the steam family who are living in the different country?

I was invited to join a Steam family by my Chinese friends who live in China, but it says I can't join because we live in different countries. I live in Japan, and my Steam store settings are set to Japan, so I don't think I can join. How can I join this Steam family?

Simple answer, you cant.
For the new Steam Family system all members must be living in the same country and have their Steam Store region set to the same country also.
So as someone who lives in Japan with a Japanese Steam Store region you can not join someone who lives in China in their Steam Family.
No way around it.

Not only is that against the Steam TOS and can get your account banned it would also not work since apart from the location the Steam Store region must also be the same.
So OP would need to switch to the Chinese Steam Store which is only possible with a registered local payment method from China. Simpy changing your IP to a Chinese one does absolutely nothing.
