Restricted From Streaming?

so i decided to watch a friends CS GO stream. been watching him play for 3 days now. and now it says his stream has been restricted on Steam. what happend? someone please explain.

no. not banned or anything. hes just restricted for no reason at all. no idea why.

I've got the same issue with my friend. Can't watch him, says he's restricted and haven't got a clue why.

idk if he used window 7 or 8. but he decided to use another account and the streaming worked fine. so why is that other account restricted, at all? like i said. he hasnt done anything that would be considered a violation by steam.

In my case he's using Windows 7. And same as Солдат09v5 is saying

he is using windows 7. but i dont see how that can make his stream restircted on one account. and work on another?

Yeah I don't see why it would have anything to do with the OS. I just wish we'd get a reply from steam.

Hey dudes =D A bit late but I got the same problem with a friend. Found the solution in the Steam help. And it fits the case as she never bought anything on steam but played things for free or got presents from me.

What are the account requirements for broadcasting?
Accounts that meet the following requirements are able to broadcast games:

- Have made a purchase on Steam and are therefore non-limited accounts
- Are not currently Community Banned

Actually at some point she saw the real technical reason for the restriction.
It is a more detailled description of the first reason above:

You have to use at least 5$ with your steam account.
