No Sound?
I have tested 2 games so far, apparently my sound isn't streaming over the broadcast.
I'm using an onboard realtek sound card.

Anyone else having this issue?

Check maybe your Steam overlay is muted.

@micronn No it's not that, me and my friends got that too. It works sometimes and doesn't others.

Yeah, no sound and just to help out:

watching CS:GO, using optical out to my DAC. Can hear other PC sounds fine. apart from chat with my friend, there's no 'Steam-anything' in my volume mixer and even that is all the way maxed out

running on Windows 8.1

**EDIT** rechecked, the broadcast is on the volume mixer, sound is maxed there. Sound is also maxed in the broadcast window.

**EDIT 2** right clicked on the video frame and pulled up stats. Audio bytes Decoded: 0B
so maybe he isn't transmitting audio?

I had no sound and could watch my friend for like 5 seconds then it would just freeze

I haven't experienced the no sound issue, but the audio is extremely quiet while I am streaming. I had to turn up my volume all the way and my browser's volume all the way up to even get it to an audible level.

Of course, I would rather not do this, as I play with headphones, and I do not wish to experience ear damage. :p

I can broadcast with sound now, i did have my steam muted but that didn't help the issue.
My speakers were set to 24 bit, 192000 Hz (Studio Quality)
Lowering it to 16 bit, 48000 Hz (DVD Quality) seemed to correct the issue.
Soon as i did that change, everything worked fine.

I've had sound issues, too, but not always.

I can't hear anything on my side. Probably a Godsend since I'm watching someone play DreadOut. :p

Confirmed this fixed it for me

Wow, that was my issue too. I had mine on 24bit, studio quality, and noone could hear anything. I did all sorts of stuff from turning my volume mixer all the way up, to disabling all effects, nothin' worked. Until I saw this thread, and tried turning sound quality down. DVD quality it is, I guess.
