When broadcasting Can people see my steam messages?

If I'm boradcastign and someone PM's me, will people watching the stream see them messages?

Not sure, but I think not. I messaged someone on Steam while they were in the game and I was watching, and even after more than 30 seconds or so I didn't see a message pop up.
This makes sense, since Steam chat is supposed to be private. Although since there is also settings for broadbasting stuff outside of Steam games, maybe it would make sense to also make this one an option.
