2) Navigate to the "Store", "Library", "Community", or "<username> page (Where <username> is the name you use to identify yourself to others here; for example, mine is KathyP, and I'm guessing yours is Smirnof). It doesn't matter which of these pages you use. The part we're interested in is in is the same on all four of those pages.
3) Look in the extreme upper left hand corner for "Steam" and click on it. A drop down list of options should now be displayed.
4) Click "Settings" on the drop down list. That should display a smaller window titled "Settings" which will display a list of options along its left side.
5) Click "Broadcasting". In the same window everything changes to display the broadcasting settings.
6) Look down the page to where it says "Privacy Settings and click on the downward pointing triangle to the right. This will display another drop down list.
7) On this list, click "Broadcasting disabled".
8) Locate where it says "OK" at the bottom right and click on it. CONGRATULATIONS! Your game will no longer display the annoying red icons, no one can see you play, and you will no longer get lagged to death if uplink bandwidth becomes limited for one reason or another.
Hopes this helps.
Cheers,
Katherine
I really appreciate the time you spent by answering my question.
I thought at first no one would answer me so i searched in google how to do it and nothing helped. Then you came.
Once again, THANK YOU.
I'm also grateful for your recognition of the time investment more than you would probably realize. I'm a bed-bound tetraplegic (quadraplegic in United States English), and I have to use an on on-screen keyboard and a mouth opperated mouse in order to type. Needless to say, its a long, tedious way to write. I do it because it gives me a feeling that my life still has some value, even if only marginally so. That is why I am so grateful for your response, the pleasure is mine, and it is I who owes the thanks. A life without value is a desperate one in which one can do nothing but wait through interminable time for an end which cannot come quickly enough.
With deapest gratitude,
Katherine
they have good grammer+they are intereting to read.
I will be happy to take private lessons from you.
cheers (or whatever you say in UK)
