Failed: Invalid Steam profile name/id.
Try pasting the Steam profile URL.

That's the error I'm getting on the steam.tools/itemvalue/ site. I used to be able to just enter my profile name/address but now it doesn't work. Does anyone have any ideas?

I was thinking maybe it has to do with some browser addon. Do you guys use anything like Adblock or similar?

well yeah ofc I use addons.
But nothing new was added and it just stopped worrking.
I tried to disable ublock and ghostery and it still doesn't work

..and I just tried it with 2 other browser (one of them without any addons) and get the same result

What about a hosts file? Do you have any new stuff blocked in there? Maybe some new blocked IP addresses in the firewall? May have nothing to do with it but it's all I can think of.

Don't know, haven't touched it since. I was just throwing ideas out there. Sometimes security definitions or whatever get updated and occasionally break something. Depends how many privacy/security measures you have active though.

Had the same problem and could to fix it by using my numeric SteamID. You can find it on your steam /account page (at the top under header).

Yes, I have this error often as well, but at least they accepted your Steam ID. Then just try it again and again - sometime it will be success.

Yes, I have this error often as well, but at least they accepted your Steam ID. Then just try it again and again - sometime it will be success.

For me it just never works though. I remember like a year+ ago, I would get some error(maybe same one) once or twice before it worked. Now it does it every time.
