Government Discord bot

The Government's Discord bot had an account creation date of 30th May 2017, and had been a member of the Gov Discord server since 2019. It used to be named Commissar until it was renamed The Government, though it had always used the Government nickname within the Government's Discord server.

The bot was used to automatically send direct messages to members about certain things, including:

• Announcements that a server wipe had begun on a server that the Government voted to play on (since atleast October 2022).
  
• Responding to the !code command.
  
• A notification that the user's vote in the Government Discord server had been counted (since around October 2024).
  
• ELO questions (since March 2025).

The bot also acknowledged commands in the Government's Discord server by leaving a message in the same channel that the command was made. It also made minor announcements in the main channel regarding new members joining and when a member was promoted.
