time to do something. rocket ctf is dying. les and less players every days.
i think it began when we started with elo select on join etc.

elo is ok to help shuffle but not to ban or select.

we need to have a more friendly and open server, like public.
we need to have more people on it, dont care about skilled or not.
the way this server go is full of people, full of midairs.
we dont care about queue list and other features.

the other thing, i think is to have less servers: having a a&d is totally useless, there is other a&d servers.
ctf ca too. the problem is some regular players play on ctf ca and the rocket only is empty and there is no game on it.

elo is overrated in some cases. ppl dont join midgame, afraid to loose elo points etc. elo restriction sux too. and this elo system is for ca not for ctf. make it public coz we need fresh blood. disable votes. make a map pool for the month. choose 7-9maps which will be on rotation. sometimes we should do votes which maps to drop. regular players who play on dkgz alot will be notified to use their vote at the end of the month here in the forums, if you dont vote dont cry during playtime about map selection. who knows how long we can keep this up. if we not starting to organize stuff everything will fall apart. don't forget its summer time, we need to test these things out to prepare for autmn.

Those are some good ideas. The map selection vote could be a good tool to get this comunity a little boost.
But the main problem the server is dying, is the lack of new players in general. I have the feeling hardly anyone starts playing QL now, and only a small fraction of those are actually playing ctf.
And now it seems even the old players, that have been there ever since mustafas server came up lose the fun. I have already stopped playing for a few months too, and when i came back, i didnt really see new regulars

focus on one server, keep him without elo restriction, be friendly/helpful to noob players and maybe the rockets will keep flying for a couple of more years.
