It's time to get excited, because December isn't that far in the future and that's when Squad's Steam release is currently scheduled to launch.

If SOMEHOW this is the first time you're hearing of the game.. well long story short - it's essentially the successor of Project Reality, built on Unreal Engine 4. It has great potential to become the game that you've always craved for. Currently in its closed Alpha stage, it is just infantry gameplay, but it's already awesome. It is not ridden with the faults of old and/or clunky engines we have become accustomed to and it's being built from the ground up, with project reality core features at heart.

Dale is organizing an event tomorrow. It's been a while since we had one for different reasons, and the playerbase has diminished quite a bit lately. Regardless, let's all try and get on the server tomorrow night @ 17.00 PRT and maybe have a few good rounds!

Some players were pointing out on the PR forums that there isn't enough updates or communication between the mod developers and players. Devs got offended and threathened to lock the mod and throw away the key until next release. However luckily enough, they accommodatingly posted a thread yesterday that at least gives people the sense of current status of development. Hopefully they will try and keep people in the loop from now on. There was also a video posted recently that shows the AMAZING upcoming FATA map.

RGG server doesn't get as many players as it used to during the summer. We still hit fiftys in the evenings, but there are some days that we barely get anyone on. Seems that the interest in the mod has somewhat degraded. We do have new players, but the problem is that a lot of experienced veteran have stopped playing. And like we all know, everything in-game is relying on these key individuals.
