But what real downside is there with regards to this? If you don't have PocoHud but the host does, you get to hear a new song each assault wave. Or at least, so long as you've got your music set to "Same As Host". If you don't like your music constantly changing, just set your heist music setting to something that isn't "Same As Host", problem solved.
I honestly wonder why a "Shuffle Music" function that changes songs every assault wave isn't part of the vanilla game. Listening to the same thing endlessly tends to get tiring after a while; PocoHud's ability to change the music throughout the mission makes the game more enjoyable to me.
