Totally forgot to check back in on this. @ASG I'm doing really well, thanks! Just moved out of DFW to Austin to live with my girlfriend (we've been together for almost 2 years). I'm 6 years into a career in cyber security as well. Plus I'm starting to learn the Godot engine with the hope of getting back into hobby game dev for the first time in over a decade. I regret pulling away from game dev when I went into college, and while I'll never want to work in the game industry, I think keeping it as a hobby is a great form of self expression and creativity for myself.
