Sadly its a no go if you dont want to waste money in the sale.
Volvo gave us ratinablanket for free with the 400 point giveaway, but you still need 12 USD minimum spending for the whole ratblanket icon, the ratinablanket sticker, and the two piginablanket sticker pack.

A year ago the 2018 holiday spending was calculated in the points you could spend on the lunar piggies. But right after that starting with the summer sale only fresh cash was counted by Volvo, even old wallet credit was disqualified. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

I agree, the last 2/3 Steam sales were good, but I miss when you were able to get tokens from the purchases made before the events.

You can't buy them anymore they are only available on the Chinese new year event (Pig in a Blanket in 2019 and Rat in a Blanket in 2020)

Sorry for necroing but I regularly search the Points Shop in the hopes they made the Pig in a Blanket and Rat in a Blanket stickers available, because I was missing those, and it finally happened!
