We have another member immitating a free game giveaway calling himself Community. Do not click on links sent to you over Steam from people claiming to be from Steam giving away free games. These links will imitate Steam's login page and typing your details in will send them to the scammer who can then hijack your account. Report anyone attempting to scam in this way and ensure your friends know not to fall for these scams. Thank you, and sorry for the inconvenience that these scammers are causing to this group.

Phishing scam (link pretending to be a Steam / Nvidia offer)

Just a heads up that one of our members going by the name "nividia" with a Lara Croft avatar is sending a link around claiming to be a Steam / Nvidia promotion offering free games. This link is a phishing scam and using the link can lead to your Steam account getting hijacked: please do not click the link, report the user and move on. Make sure your friends don't fall for the scam.

An actual Steam / Nvidia offer would not promote itself using a random Steam account and it most certainly wouldn't spell 'Nvidia' and 'offer' incorrectly. Watch out for phishing attempts and don't get caught out.
