White House Heist difficulty differences
Did this on a quick request, won't be continuing. Feel free to start a new thread and use this info.

Sniper count
1/2, VH-/OVK+

First floor guards(highest floor)
2/3/4, VH-/OVK-DW/DS

PEOC spawns
2/3, VH-/OVK+
Killing any PEOC guard will spawn x1 reinforcement within 20 to 40 seconds, happens only one time. Dominating however, will not trigger the reinforcement.
20200526 - Rechecked the scripts. Only on "death", so dominating will have no reinforcement. I should have rechecked revnant's comment on this back then.

Ground floor spawns (library floor)
2/1/3, N-VK/OVK-DW/DS
Yes, this is correct. Might be a mistake by level designers.

West wing spawns
Press room x1 will always spawn.
Otherwise, 2/3, VH-/OVK+
The extra guard that spawns on OVK+ is the one that patrols around the first area, and never enters the inner Roosevelt room area.

Scripted Cloaker and Smoke chance, 50%
VH+ only, 1 cloaker.

Gas chance 20% (PEOC?)
VH+ only.

PEOC Turret count
1/3, N/H+
2, H+ only.

That gas run multiple times (per hack)? Since when I did my Overkill loud run, it gave me teargas twice.
Unknown Knight Nov 14, 2018 @ 6:14am
It should run multiple times, that's how the level designers usually does it. I won't be looking further, CaptainAlpha asked me for some details (to speedrun), most likely in stealth so I just did a quick look.

I think the PEOC guard information is very useful. If you dominate the guards (all 2 / 3 of them) then you won't have any reinforcements.

I also got gassed twice. We thought it was safe to hold out on the bottom floor after it gassed once and then the enemies bodyblocked us as the gas came on and we all died. I think we got it on 2 different hacks and not twice in the same hack...

Something's screwy with the PEOC objectives, idk the details. I went loud after the vault was open and got a HUD indicator to use a highlighted computer.
revnant Nov 15, 2018 @ 7:32pm
Yeah it could get bad. I purposely went loud after getting 23 of the pardons and then quickly grabbed the last one. Sometimes a cop would break a highlighted computer. If I fixed that computer my game would crash immediately.

It's especially confusing because I don't think police normally break computers in loud.
Unknown Knight Nov 15, 2018 @ 8:40pm
Most likely some bad scripting in there.

Yeah, we've filed a bug report. I think everyone's praying that ovk will at least do an optimization pass on the map, even if they don't relocate the abhorrent guard patrol points. I've gotten surprised out of a blind corner way too many times, and the low fps drastically harms my ability to respond to detection.

Oh, are you having problems with the Oval office area?
Finale Nov 15, 2018 @ 9:25pm
I'm having problems with every area, tbh. Even the PEOC, which is supposedly well-optimized, is giving me less time to react to a guard "ping" than I'm used to.

It's most noticeable in the oval office area because (as per Unknown Knight's post) the area is hell to stealth without at least bumping into a guard. entry in particular is like throwing yourself into a pit- no cover, three rooms with multiple blind corner entry points, one guard picking from, iirc, four patrol positions.

Each area of the map has its own stealth design issues.

Oh. For Oval office area, you can try this sensor mine strategy:

That's very close to my current approach (though I can change some mine positions to match yours, thanks!). Any one of the near misses you have there would be a fail for me because I get less time to react to the detection.

Depends on the map, cops do disable computers generally.
But it could be like one of the things like Counterfeit; where water got VO, power got VO, but if they disable the printing machine itself Bain will remain 100% silent for some reason.

PEOC guard spawns are zoned- I don't know which are which or how difficulty selects for zone spawns, but of the three initial spawns, one patrols the conference/balcony area, one controls the front/vault area, and one patrols the back/computers/desks area.

3 PEOC Turret?I usually see two of them...
