So CVG finally deleted the PCZone forum

Without any warning the asshats went ahead and deleted it! I made a thread a few days before, then suddenly, bam, forum gone.

RIP. Anyone know if there's still an archive of all the PCZone reviews that they had on their website? It's really sad they didn't keep them, even gamespot keeps old reviews.

theres plenty of ex staff doing well now, Suzy Wallace heads up Slightly Mad Studios who are developing Project Cars, Charlie Brooker is all over the Telly, and Jon 'Log' Blyth is still doing the rounds every now and then at PC Gamer. I wonder what happened to Steve Hill, Phil Wand (Dear Wandy), Martin Korda and Richie Shoemaker?

Phil Wand (Dear Me) is still bemused at how massively shit games are. I am happy in the knowledge I have never played nor will I ever play Call of Duty: Finest Hour or Call of Duty 2: Big Red One or Call of Duty: Roads to Victory or Call of Duty: World at War: Final Fronts or Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized or Call of Duty: Black Ops DS or Call of Duty: World at War Zombies 1 and 2 or Call of Duty: The War Collection or Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified or Call of Duty: Strike Team.

Those are all actual titles btw

I agree, to be honest now it's like I play games to be disappointed. Look what they did to the Battlefield series. I'm not sure if it's a combination of things that have driven the standards down but I'd guess console gaming had a lot to do with lowering the bar. Video-game "journalism" too these days, that's a whole other story...
