so today i decided to reinstall osu! because of all the lag spikes that appeared while i was playing. i thought that when i deleted the game i still would have the beatmaps, guess what? i lost them. any help i can get?

I recommend getting packs 301 - 400, unless you like the old style of maps.
Warning: you will have thousands of mapsets.

i get hese lag spikes too, tends to make me break combo, does this actually work tho?

if you reinstall osu! i doubt you'll feel a lag spike again, atleast for some time. it worked for me.
but you may have to download all the songs again.

I had lag spikes to, didnt know what was the problem, reinstalling the game wont do nothing so you did wrong, i turned the VSync on and that helped me.Hope this helps you if you still have the problem.

For the beatmaps part, I think you just installed it to the wrong directory other than your original osu! folder. I had osu!.exe deleted because of my anti-virus, and I reinstalled it with no problem.
