If you keep playing something challenging(in your skill level, 3.5-4*) a lot, you may be able to play insane diff a lot easier in 1 or 2 months. Don't expect that you'll be able to FC it though, because the difficulty from 3* to 4* is quite noticeable(More Jumps, more streams, AR9, etc).
I don't really understand what you meant for this one, is it streams? If so, well you just have to played a lot more streams.
I know, shit advice but that's pretty much I can tell you. Just try getting used to alternating Z/X on your keyboard and you'll be able to do some small streams or triplets.
Sadly I'm not left handed. But I can at least give you one advice.
If you want to spin, don't try to instantly jerk your hand making quick spin. It's not really effective. Instead, try to control your spinning making circles. After you can make those perfect circles, slowly increase your spinning.
That way, you can make some fast spinning with stable SPM.
I'm just a 26k noob with horrible english.
Try to avoid spamming mods, seriously. Especially Double Time or Hardrock.
Why? Because if you spamming DT a lot, you'll only be able to play something fast with high BPM ignoring the rhythm of the songs and quite likely ruining your accuracy.
If you keep spamming Hardrock, you'll only be able to read AR10. At your current skill level, AR10 is COMPLETELY unnecessary. And most, if not nearly all of the insane songs are AR9.
If you can't read AR9 because "it's too slow" then you'll have a bad time.
It's not like I'm telling you this mods sounds like something forbidden, because playing with it is a lot of fun. But if you REALLY want to improve faster, try to avoid playing with it.
Hidden mods is okay though, because it doesn't change any map settings like HR or DT did.
force learn AR9 and deal with not being able to play AR8 (at all), master AR9 OD:8 then learn to DT AR8 then be done with it all lololOloL, use relax to see how fast you can move your cursor to ready yourself for higher BPM maps.
"around a month and a half ago, can only play 3.5-4 stars..."
HOLY COW!!! DON'T YOU DARE DOWN PLAY YOURSELF, THAT'S PRETTY DAMN GOOD!
It took me a good year's worth of gameplay to even barely pass 4 star songs.
Also, for rapid taps; imagine it being like a slider note but one that you have to click constantly.
Most "streams", as they're called, are bunched up together and then maybe snake out like a slider.
Treat the oncoming outer circles as where the ball would be on a slider and then click away in a rapid ZXZX button mash fashion that's relative to the beat of the song.
If you're using a mouse for a spinner, honestly you're really out of luck because it's very hard to spin at a good speed with them.
With a drawing tablet, you can spin very easily and pretty decently based on how fast you stir.
Overall, the best place to spin would be VERY near and around the center axis of the spinner.
With my tablet, I can do a nice 350 RPM. My mouse...? 200 at best...
Good luck and have fun!
For streams, I still can't seem to get used to using XZXZ. It messes up my hand's position, because when I tap only using X, my other fingers usually lift up, and when I try to keep them down, I lose my rhythm. xD
Some 4.1-4.2* have AR8 or ARR8.5 but above that star ratings usually have AR9.
If you didn't understand what I meant by AR go to the osu!wiki.
