Hardest difficulty you guys can play with a mouse?

What is the hardest difficulty you guys can play with a mouse and is getting a tablet necessary to be a good osu player as a mouse looks to limit your hand movement in comparison. This may be an obvious question to some but i only just started and was interested in finding out.

Edit: Also if you use mouse is it considered cheating to use the keyboard to instead of clicking with the mouse?

I'm not a mouse player but it's not necessary to have a tablet to be good at this game, the best mouse player I know is Doomsday (I don't really know him :v) I think he is +50 rank in the world, you might check his youtube channel, that can help ^^
When I play with mouse (+ keyboard, it's clearly easier than full mouse) I think my hardest map was around 3.5-4* in only one month (I changed to tablet 'cause my mouse is very bad and got some bug then I bought a tablet wacom (the best tablet quality))

Think I say everything I wanted to, so I hope that can help you :3 (and maybe others). it's maybe a little hard to read due to my english :vanilla:

I am 4.9k at the moment in rankings. I can play anything with mouse; it's only a tapping problem for me now. I use a keyboard for tapping as tapping with mouse is changing my movement. https://osu.ppy.sh/u/5316975
Also i am a player of jump and "cancer" maps so i am one of the most agile mouseplayer in osu right now.... except for player in the top 1000.

So all you want to be good with mouse;
a 20-30 euros gaming mouse and a 10-20 euros gaming mousepad (the bigger the better)
are important at some point; but i played till 50k without mousepad and a standard 4 euro mouse.
The beginning is really hard but if you hang in there u will be real good with mouse... so don´t give up on mouse ppl :D
