Hardest difficulty you guys can play with a mouse?

What is the hardest difficulty you guys can play with a mouse and is getting a tablet necessary to be a good osu player as a mouse looks to limit your hand movement in comparison. This may be an obvious question to some but i only just started and was interested in finding out.

Edit: Also if you use mouse is it considered cheating to use the keyboard to instead of clicking with the mouse?

I can play up to 7.5* depending on the map but most of my problems come from tapping, not aiming

You also have to consider the mouse speed in windows I guess... Dont know how much it impacts the actual mouse speed, but I think when you have like windows 1/11 and 2400 DPI and windows 10/11 and 850 DPI for example, then the difference in speed might not really be that much.

I think most players use 5 to 6/11 windows mouse speed

I'm a tablet player and I just tried and I could pass some ~6.5 stars only streams maps with mouse xD and like 5.5 stars of jump

i can play 8.5* with mouse+keyboard, 4.5* with only mouse. I don't have tablet ¯\_(-_-)_/¯

Mouse was like uhh 4.6-4.8ish?

I think the highest I got was like 4.5ish before switching to tablet. I've gotten so used to playing osu! with a tablet by now, it's a bit harder for me to practice with mouse. Either way, I suck at osu! lmao

using ZX is not cheating.. just a technique,, like single tapping,, alternate tapping,, just pick any playstyle that is fun for you,, trying to impress others is not a good reason for playing i think
