Quick instructions for using TES3MP
1) Download the latest version of TES3MP from GitHub[github.com] and unpack it in its own folder somewhere. Do not unpack it in the same folder as a previous OpenMW installation.

2) Run openmw-wizard.exe from the TES3MP folder and point it to your Morrowind installation.

(This step is not necessary if you already have OpenMW installed and working, because TES3MP will simply use the same settings as it.)

3) Run openmw-launcher.exe and select your expansions and plugins from the Data Files section.

By default, servers require you to only use Morrowind, Tribunal and Bloodmoon.

4) Either click the Play button from openmw-launcher.exe or run tes3mp-browser.exe to start the server browser.

You can also start your own server using tes3mp-server.exe and then connect to it after refreshing the browser.

5) In the server browser, double click on a server of your choice and check its details, then try to connect to it.

If your list of plugins matches up with it, the game will load up and you will have to input your name.

If your name has never been used on that server, you will be asked to register it by putting in a password. If it has been used before, you will need to know its password.

If it takes you more than 60 seconds to put in your password, you will be disconnected from the server.

Note that F2 can be used to hide the chat area. Simply press it again to reveal it.

Sorry about that. I was preparing 006b and updated the link too early.

When I try to join a server, I get a fatal error that says "Archive 'TR_Data' not found". Do you know why that is?

And also, when I try to join my own server in the server browser, I get the error message "Connection failed. Either the IP address is wrong or a firewall on either system is blocking UDP packets on the port you have chosen."

Can you please help me?

Nevermind I figured it out for both. This is for my first problem; I installed Tamriel Rebuilt awhile ago in 2015, but had removed all the Plugin Files. However, in the morrowind.ini files, I kept the "Archive3 = TR_Data.bsa" line. When mwopen used my .ini settings, the server would try to load a BSA file that was never there, which is where the error message came from.

For my second problem, I just port forwarded incorrectly. After googling how to port forward with our new router (2 weeks old), I figured out what to do and I did it.

Now everything is working as intended, which is a huge relief. I look forward to seeing the future updates you put out.

How popular is this mod, exactly? If I install the mod and browse the server browser, will the likelihood of people actually playing be high?

Seeing as we don't have NPC sync yet and it's been a few weeks since the last major release, you are unlikely to find people online at the moment.

Okay. If I were to start a server for a friend and I to play on (if that's possible), would I have to open any parrticular ports? For some reason, I'm unable to successfully open ports on our Apple router no matter what I do.

The documentation is pretty clear that you would have to open a port of your choice, yes.

It says I'm missing certain files. What do I do?
David Cernat Apr 1, 2017 @ 9:59pm
What's the exact message?

i am getting the error of 0xc000007b, how is that fixable?

XToverdrive, join our Discord channel and I'll walk you through whatever problems you're having.

When i launch it from the folder, i get MSVCP140.dll, VCRUNTIME140.dll, twice for each. When i launch it from the desktop shortcut/icon, i get osg130-osg.dll, ot20-OpenThreads.dll, osg130-osgParticle.dll, osg130-osgUtil.dll (keep in mind these 4 files are found in the folder so perhaps i just shouldn't launch it from the desktop icon.) Sorry for the late reply, but any help?

Also, for what it's worth, openmw works fine for me.
