Almost have everything ready but I get an error.

As the title suggests I have set up a private server for me and my friends and the server starts up fine but when we try to join using the tes3mp.exe it gets to the Bethesda name and says
Open MW Fatal error - Trying to retrieve a non existent setting: Pointers cache size
Make sure the settings-default.cfg file was properly installed any help to fix this would be appreciated thanks in advance.

Can I ask what version of Morrowind are you using? Is it from CD, Steam, GOG, somewhere else? Also in which language is the game?

I got the English version of Morrowind from Steam

Can you start the openmw-wizard again and follow the instructions there? Maybe something went wrong when you first generated the config file.

Also, can you try to right click on Morrowind on your game list on Steam, go to Properties, Local Files tab and click Verify Integrity ?

Also, do you have any mods enabled or just vanilla Morrowind + expansions?

Have you placed TES3MP in its own folder, or have you combined it with an older version or with an installation of OpenMW?

Testman what tou suggested didn't work and I have mods enabled.
David TES3MP is combined with my installation of OpenMW.

Just extract TES3MP to it's separate directory. Do not mix OpenMW and TES3MP files. That should give you some better results.

Thanks for your advice changing where Tes3mp was located solved that error and it seems to be working fine.
