D&D Par?
I have seen Morrowind as a single player D&D derivitive. The skill and attribute system are welcomely intricate, with the potential of creating a plethora of quests and adventures. I believe this new system or mod could open the door to projects that coincide soley with this multiplayer aspect, a New Land or possibly even just "drop in quest/worlds"(with transferrable chars.??), not sure. Either way this could be a "DM dream" for Morrowind players, alike! I'm glad to see this in the making and look forward to see where it goes, from a D&D perspective.

yeah, it could be great, but i don't think it would be possible to edit stuff in direct... and that's maybe an issue to have a real DM :/

I don't see the direct control being implemented anytime, but campaign mods taking place in "frozen" cells of the Morrowind world. I didn't mean to imply the direct DM factor, but the effort that goes into creating campaign module booklets.

ooh i see, a bit like neverwinter night then ? (i guess, i never played the game, but i know you could create custom campaigns to play with your buddies)

I think you can actually already be a DM directly to some extent if you write some Lua scripts to give you the powers you want, and I'm sure we can go a lot further than that in future versions.

That is interesting, but my initial point of discussion was idea of a "fast travel" experience when switching servers. This would consist of smaller "worlds" or alternate-Morrowinds, the alt-diminsions you might see within comic books, and/or the servers act as campaigns.
-By the way thanks David C. for helping this experience. I really apreciate the many paths that y'all leave for this to set out.

This was meant be a general discussion lol

Switching servers like that isn't efficient. You could simply have different 'worlds' in different 'cells' as the morrowind engine uses, seperating it from any place in the world and allowing you to 'teleport' your players via console commands to these independent worlds.

Then they don't have to switch servers, they've got all their same equipment, name, stats, attributes, quest logs, faction ranks, etc...

That is for directing even for direct DM'ing.
