Tonight i made some needed maintenance and discovered a possible issue for the recent malfunctions.
As it seems are the wolves and spiders bugged AF and caused a massive bloat in the sandbox.sbc file (world config file). Every dog ever spawned was still listed in the file and made a mess out of it. That could be the issue to the ever growing save lag.
In comparison with the old, much larger server save, was the lag mostly not noticeable. But recently on the new world it is getting bigger and bigger.
A normal size for the sbc is around 1-1.2 mb and right now it was at 6.5mb. That only after a few days of active usage (and far less player count/grid amount).

So i made the effort to restore every single grid to a fresh worldfile with the same settings, fixed pricing on gold and platinum (thx to Butterfly and Jäger for helping me :D ), disabled wolves, spiders and loot crates (i will add them later, just to make sure).

Unfortunately the ownership transfer won't work well (and it is a pain to do) and all grids are on nobody.
I check every grid for power loss and/or subgrid detaches and disable medbays for safety.

So make sure to connect as soon you can and claim your grids! But be fair and don’t claim others work if i get a message about a stolen grid i will search the previous owner and the current and the person will get banned if done on purpose! If you are such a person you are not welcome in my family!

Hello everyone!

Over the past few days, we have been working on significant changes we plan to introduce to the server. We feel that the server has been too restrictive and not challenging enough, and we think many will agree that after the game becomes easy, it begins to lose its objective.

Among the changes we are introducing is the scarce resources mod – which will make the availability of ores location-specific. This will force players to venture out further, and travel between planets. Uranium will no longer be available on earth, so in the beginning you will need to rely on solar power for energy. All prices of the trading center have also been recalculated, with the aim of making them more accurate to the scarce resources mod.

Unfortunately, the changes we have in mind wouldn’t make sense without a full world reset, because many players already have significant advantages. The next couple of days will allow you the time you need to blueprint your ships before the world is reset. Please do not ask if your ships can be transferred into the new world, as this is really meant as a new beginning.

The new world will have a new spawn, located on the surface of the Earth. This is really meant as a trading center, and you are not supposed to hang around here the whole time – there’s a universe to explore! The Trading Center will have a 1000m “Neutral Zone” around it – in this area, any combat is forbidden. However, after that, you are on your own. Mining is also forbidden in this area – please go out a bit further.

There will also be changes to the combat rules and no more official pirate status. There will no longer be a 500km safe zone around Earth, and combat is allowed basically anywhere as long as you adhere to the following rules (summary):
- Do not attack offline bases, ships or players.
- Each player must defend their own belongings from others. While offline, leave your turrets on with a warning beacon (3km max)
- If an enemy player comes in weapons range, assume this as an act of aggression.
- Propose peace to friends and declare war to your enemies! Please note that it is forbidden to betray peace declarations – that is bad manners.
- The neutral zone (1000m around the Trading Center) is the only place where combat is not allowed!

These rules are harsher than our previous rules. They make our universe more lawless while making gathering/building (and perhaps even stealing) more rewarding.

The new server will focus more on trading, interacting with other players, and hunting for resources on other planets.
