Hamachi/Multiplayer problems

So I've used Hamachi in the past for Terraria and Minecraft, but I can't get it working for Monopoly Tycoon. My friend and I are trying to play through a Hamachi server but can't get it working. We both have patch 1.4 and gamespy installed. Can anyone give some advice on how to get Hamachi to work with the game?

Make sure that you have got your LAN connection setup properly in the configuration menus before you click "Play". Change your network adapter to the adapter that Hamachi created (I assume) or else just try every single adapter you have one-by-one till you get a connection.
