We have decided to remove all weapons except for Bow + Stone + Hatchet + Stone Hatchet.

This will remove cheaters in whole due to AIMBOT does not calculate the run speed of the player and only shots arrows at current standing target. This makes aimbot useless on our server.

Everyone is given small stashes on spawn, this to make ESP a bitch to have on when looking for supplies, it will drag their FPS down a lot.


We needed to do a full wipe for this update due to we can't chose to only keep researches, this would mean people would still have guns if we didnt remove all playerdata.

This update also enables the gameplay to be a lot more skill based, C4 is still found and can be crafted as usual.

This also makes the game 100% fair play for new as old players due to bows will be used and there for armor is only visual.

So if you'd like a cheatfree zone, this is what you have to give up :)

We will wipe the server due to population has lowered and there is tons and tons of unused buildings. The wipe will happen around 00:00 GMT+1

Yesterday, i sent a support ticket regarding our issues with crash logs. Host told me to "reinstall", so i did that today and yeh..it was not possible due to a file that was locked. Talked to the live support and they asked me to make a ticket and ask them to do it for me. I've done that.

When they have done this we will run rust++ for a couple of days till the oxide issue is fixed. But i first need them to do "reinstall" so i can start the server. No worries all i saved all data, so if we arent forced there wont be a wipe again.

After the most recent Rust update a lot of things have gone wrong in the world of Rust servers for every provider. The main issue being the lag / performance degrading in game, along with the high CPU usage on the servers which is causing high problems with nodes locking up because 1 individual server can use upto 100% CPU for no reason. Previous to this update it was normal to see around 150-200 players using about 10-12% CPU. Now we're seeing 14% with 4 players which is really not right and we have reported this to Facepunch studios along with the other trusted hosts for Rust currently.

Rust is an Alpha game, not even Beta so this kind of thing should be expected but normally bugs are not as severe as ones like this.

We have always made sure that our Rust nodes stay at 45-55% idle under peak load to allow for any upgrades or changes that may occur on that node etc, and each node is monitored around the clock normally to make sure 1 server does not compromise the performance of another, but this is now proving an impossible task as seeing 100% CPU is now becoming a common occurrence. It goes from a stable 35% to 100% within a couple of hours which is causing severe performance issues. The wipe did help this slightly but there are still people who haven't done it.

The wipe was more helpful in sorting out the memory leak problem where some servers were using upto 4GB RAM (Rust is a 32 bit application).

And then we get to Oxide which after the 1.12 update Oxide has been having some stability issues where it has been causing Rust servers to crash which then in causes the control panel to start the server back up, and some of which were getting this quite regularly which also contributed to random CPU spikes due to the high restart rate of servers.

Once a server gets to 100% CPU the remote monitor which interacts with the control panel which is responsible for all the controls such as stop / start etc ceases to respond and then once you try clicking or spamming something on the panel it causes one of the threads on the control panel to lock up on the server hosting the web interface which then after a while causes the control panel to slow down for other users or even crash, so please if the panel is going slow can you log out for 15 minutes or so and then come back as there is likely to be at least a few hundred people trying to access it currently.

What's happening now?
Currently we've put stock to 0 for Rust servers as we don't want to be taking anymore sign up's until a patch is rolled out for these bugs which should be over the course of the next few days.

Even though the problems caused by this patch are not our fault they're not yours either and we're kindly offering an extra 3 days FREE time to be added to your account. As for the current Rust servers we will do our best to try and keep the performance up but it's proving a near on impossible task so please do not open tickets regarding lag or server crashing as we are aware of these issues but it is out of our control.

If your server stops or restarts do not be alarmed this is simply because your server is consuming far too much CPU than it should and needed to be restarted or stopped if it becomes to high.

Support delays
Currently we're a 4 man team and are working as hard as we can to clear through support tickets, help people on live chat but please expect delays of between 1-2 hours and around 30 minutes for live support conversations. We're currently seeing at least 100 people on our website throughout all hours of the day so we're under quite a lot of pressure currently with Rust support because of this patch.

Some people have asked for it, others have not. But i got an email from the host and if we do not wipe volenteerly they will do it for us. I rather give this out to all and then we wipe under the day.

Hello everyone,

This is just a quick notice regarding the most recent Rust update. We've found if a server has not had a reinstall or a map wipe / reset at the very it causes extremely high CPU usage due to the new map additions such as new ores etc which are not a natural occurrence in old versions of the worlds.

Please could you perform the server re install or map reset / wipe as soon as possible as it can cause lag for other users if your CPU sits at 15% like we've found with many servers so far.

How do I reset my server?
On the overview page for your rust server click "Actions" found to the right of service information on the page, and then select the reinstall option and follow the process through.

If you do not perform the reset in the next 24 hours we will be forced to do it for you if your server is found to be hitting high CPU levels and hasn't been reset.
