Why Did You Play MGQ And How Did You Find It?

Simple enough as the title asks.

Why did you play MGQ in the first place, what pushed you to go through with yourself and download the game?

How did you even find such an... Interesting game to begin with? Surely it wasn't a simple google click away?

Bonus Question:
What did you expect first off from the series when you knew VERY little about the game and were trying it for the first time?

As for me, I decided to play the game after steam aliasing as one of the characters with my friends. Erubetie was the name and she was one of the "Four Heavenly Knights". I didn't know what mumbo jumbo was about but she appealed to me most. I eventually got around to having the desire to play after hearing about it quite a bit from my friend(s) and liking the characters quite a bunch.

That all said, I simply had my friend link me to a place where I could get the game and play it! As time went on, while I was browsing /vg/, I stumbled upon the MGQ general. I clicked on it and checked out the group here and joined it after haing played a lot of part 1.
Part 2 was in the works but close to being finished, so I would have a lot of... monster girls to play with, so to speak.

When I first heard of the series, I expected it to be nothing but an attractive hentai game with a very very shallow storyline like most other games. While Erubetie was nice, I wasn't convinced thegame would offer much other then great faps. After having played the game for awhile, I soon found myself more interested in the stories then the monster girls.

And that about sums up the answers, what about you all?

I found the group when there was around 6 members, and I too was aliasing as a Knight. Arumaeruma (how many of you remember that?). I added the Admins who helped me set up the game and get it running. I found this because I got bored in BF3 one time.

Well I just finished my first VN game it was Shuffle! and I was looking for more to play, I saw the title and thought to myself this seems intresting, after reading the description for the game I honestly thought it was going to be just a H game with no story but after 10 minutes into it I was suprised about how much the game covers like racism, religious tolerance and such and a deep moving story, Monster girl quest is truly a blessing in disguise.

I found it on Funnyjunk. I found it interesting so I tried out demo. I loved that, so I bought the game to support Torotoro.

Ya know, it was so long ago when I found it (Part 1 had just come out with its english patch), and I cant remember which website I found it on, but I want to say I randomly stumbled upon MGQ on Hongfire.

I used to be a huge weeaboo back when I was little, and somehow MGQ made me become a weeaboo again xD BTW: Favorite monster girl is Ilias :3

It's quite likely the best hentai game you'll ever play.

that was my 1° game of the kind, after finishing all 3 i went looking for anothers, but no one that I found and played have such one amazing history like MGQ, so that's was my 1° and last one...

IIRC, someone on a Super D33pThroat thread in /h/ mentioned it, saying that they should make a model for Alice in that game. Curious, I looked up MGQ. Only Part 1 was available at the time. From what I read it seemed interesting for an h game, but it did not strike me as particularly memorable otherwise. I snagged it from somewhere for free along with the English patch, decided I've have a few good faps and be done with it. Boy was I wrong! As soon as Luka started going on about Illias and his views about the world, I was like "Man, whoever came up with this really put some work into the story!". Of course as we all know it only gets a whole lot deeper into beliefs, morality, and tolerance from there. In part 2 I pretty much fell completely in love with the story during Plansect Forest and felt many feels during the tender moments between Luka and Alice. My opinion of MGQ went from one of shamelessly downloading the game for free to SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Hands down the best, deepest, most engrossing story I've ever seen in a game. Bonus points for being completely unexpected coming from an eroge.

It was a random day on my FB account and I happened to met someone called "Chrome Artiste" in my "People you may know..." list.
I can't remember why, but I decided to randomly google her name, the very first thing I found was the "Monster Girl Quest Wiki", I decided to read something about her and I found out what kind of game she was from.

At first I was like "No, I am never going to play this weird Hentai thing.".
Another day I was looking for some game BGM and I happened to found "Monster Girl Quest OST - Four Heavenly Knights", I decided to hear it and..."HOLY SHI- THAT'S ONE EPIC BOSS MUSIC!", and so I fell in love with the soundtracks of a "weird Hentai thing", hearing them so much finally motivated me to watch some gameplay videos, the very first thing I saw were the "Evaluations", and then some actual gameplay, mostly the first battles to avoid major spoilers(Slime Girl,Slug Girl,Mandragora...). Watching the videos made me really like the storyline in the very first moments of the game.

"I don't like erotic games, but that storyline,that music,that battles,that funny dialogues... I will give it a shot." That's what I said, and I downloaded the first part.
At first I was like "That's so LEWD, I don't like it. " and then I was like "...But, I want to know what happens next!" and so I continued to play it.

After playing part 1 I decided, without a single hesitation to play part 2 and part 3 as well, and I really enjoyed them.

Why am I playing this?
Awesome storyline,awesome dialogue,epic soundtracks and somewhat challenging battles.(Especially on Hard mode)and..I don't really care about the Hentai so much, some Game Over scenes were "funny"(Black Alice's teddy bear) or "plain weird"(Beelzebubs OMG). Actually I wish that one day this game will have a "serious remake" and become a wonderful non-Hentai(By "Non-Hentai" I mean that "Monster Girls eating men semen" shouldn't change, but all those Hentai CG must be left out, and maybe the Monster Girls shouldn't use "pleasure attacks", well, kisses,hugs,binds and "temptation attacks" are fine, but at least give them some basic attacks.) VN with RPG battles(Or a regular RPG game), I would play it for sure, over and over again.

I found the game when i was looking for more chapter of Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou. It seemed interesting so i decided to give it a try as my first ergo game...... And Damn I loved every min of it. Since I loved Alice/Tamamo or Lamia and fox girl characters I thought I could give one of these games a try. I found all three part in one game so it was sooo Long but i didnt mind to tell the truth i just beat it yesterday and i have been playing for a month or two now. It was off and on since I did love it but Im also a avid anime watcher so when i did pick it up i wanted to pick it up for the full day and play till i passed out. For it being an ergo game and having an awesome story as it is i give it a 10/10 on my part XD I only wish there was more.
