How to use a language emulator for visual novel.

Hello. I wonder how to translate MGQ, the visual novel with an emulator.
I use an emulator because I have a lot of trouble with English (which is quite a language) and the software that I generally use for all my games is Textrator. But the problem is that when I wanted to use it while playing the MGQ Visual Novel, it worked but not really. It shows me the source code of the game, statistics etc ... when I just ask for the text.
This handicaps me a lot in my progression of the visual novel.
