Trade Nodes
So i basically plan to work on trade nodes.
I plan to not only add more trade nodes, i also want to make it possible that the trade flow can be changed. So if you play a chinese nation u might not just want to accept how all the wealthy trade goes to europe, i want to make it possible that u can take the path of Zheng He and bring the rich goods of arabia, india or malaya to china. Or as an arabian nation u should not just try to get all attention away from zanzibar and let the portuguese or any european bring asian riches around it to africa including african gold and ivory, u should try to remember swahili traders and bring the riches of east africa to arabia. Or if u play england u might not just accept how all english trade goes to antwerpen and if u lose calais u might not longer have any control of continental central european market, it should also be possible that u can move this trade to london and make london the center of european trade, same counts for many other trade paths which seem to be not possible in eu4, but should be possible as they some historical accuracy or theory and which dont come to my mind, but u could propose me in this discussion.
Sry for all mistakes in terms of language, but i guess u should understand what i want to say.

Whatever you do can we please please at least change the name of Seville to something else, or add Lisbon as a node? Lisbon was as important as Seville, at least, from the 15th to 17th centuries, it's odd to see Seville alone take that spot, or to see the trade node named for Seville if we assume it's a mix of both. Either way, Castille takes the bonus by actually holding Seville, which I don't think is fair.

Agreed !
Iberia? But yeah, I'd probably even divide Iberia into Portugal, Andalusia/Seville and Catalonia/Western Mediterranean

Gigau i prepared a bit for meiou map, it is just iberia, maghreb, south france and parts of italy, but can u pls tell me if it works if u put it in your eu4 mod and if we cant do back and forth between trade nodes, lisboa cant get a own trade node, but yeah we can rename it.
I think that Iberia needs two, in any case, one for Portugal and one for Spain.
If we cant put trade back and forth i would prefer 1 in barcelona/valencia/mallorca region and 1 in region of cadiz.
How about splitting the Baltic trade node into Danzig and Riga? I think the two cities are more fitting, they were important trade centers in period (the first half of it anyway).
I would myself prfer having Baltics as one. After all, it is one big rotting lake. :p
Riga, Danzig, Lübeck were all just important ports competing with each other.
Well that all depends on the intended number of trade nodes, but there already is a Lübeck node, so why not Danzig or Riga?
Something tells me a new trade system will be a dlc...
I need to fix meiou map for trade nodes 1st anyway, i hope i will get old world done tonight and tomorroww.
Since we are going to have so many new provinces I think we can get away with having more trade nodes.

France doesn't have the worst trade node, Ming has that dubious honour considering Beijing only has trade going out and none coming in (there are a couple provinces like this, but none are capital regions at start). Your only real choice as China for trade is to move capital to Nanjing (to be fair Nanjing was the capital only a couple decades earlier).

A thing I realised while playing around with trade nodes, all the HRE minors disproportionately drains trade towards them due to the high number of Merchants they have combined. I would consider a penalty of -1 merchant for them, that way they can only collect, not transfer without extra merchants. Something in the lines of any country with capitol in HRE, 2 or less provinces and NOT a republic government.

Odd choice, especially considering the aim at trade being the motor for historical conquests and all. I guess i'd have at least one or two trade routes within China going to Beijing, possibly before going elsewhere... to invite a Chinese nation to more its capital to Beijing to control the Chinese trade.

Although i could be wrong, of course.

That is a map how far i am with trade nodes, all black stuff is added to trade nodes.
I think i will play a bit eu4 now and continue later.
That is the trade nodes file:
