Recently got 28 as a Kritz Medic. As a battle medic, I think I hit 10 once.

I started playing Medic when I started tf2. Medic is a class that allowed me to observe and understand the game at my own pace. Then I stuck with it because I liked how this class is played.

I don't think I'll quit tf2 consciously, if I do it'll be because of life, not because I decide to do so.

At some point though I was playing it so much that would feel fed up with it. Eventually I just took a break from it and came back to it later, playing it less than I used to.

At some point too I would feel like I was "condemned" to play Medic because I wasn't good at any other class. Eventually I just went out my comfort zone and played some classes I always neglected, mostly to mess around. It refreshed the fun and feeling I was learning new things a bit and I do have more fun playing now.

I'm having a hard time playing with bad teammates too, when I do I just go yolo medic and heal/uber them when needed, but mostly do things on my own. It helped me a lot gaining autonomy actually.

Got a 21 on a screenshot, I also had 23 not so long ago.

Never did this, you need a partner to communicate and I see it more as a fun-mode. Like Kritzkrieg-Ubersaw Medic paired with Holiday Punch Heavy. Get an enemy Pyro to airblast you in the corner and the fun-mode is over.

I realized my mistake too late lol. I meant to put in the quick-fix, not the kritzkrieg lol. Oh well. I suppose if it was meant for regular medigun, I'm still wrong anyways. XD

I always considered the Mega-heal to be almost as good as the invincibility... If not, I'm just lucky that in my massive amounts of playing, nobody has thought to kill the medic with the Uber lol. XD

As someone who practices Kritzkrieg chains with a good friend of mine, it can work but requires a good communication and timing as well as an excellent awareness so that the two Medics don't take too many risks. I think that Uberchains in general require that but since the Kritzkrieg doesn't grant you any kind of invicibility or quicker healing rate I'd say it's even riskier, but it's hilarious when done well.

You'd have to train with the Blutsauger like with any other Syringe gun so that you can hit of course and, as I said, to play a bit carefully to not die every 2 seconds, but it can work pretty well.

I'd seriously give a try to a pair of Kritzkrieg/Blutsauger/Ubersaw medics. Having done it by the past it proved to be weirdly effective especially on heavies. The lack of heatlh is compensated by the heatlh given back by the Blutsauger and the Kritzkrieg gives you additionnal damage. Plus, it has a special rage-inducing factor on MLG's. It would require to be played a bit carefully though.

If the team was medics only though the lack of defense could be compensated by other Mediguns such as the stock one or the Quick-fix I guess. Not sure about that, but I'd happily contribute. :p

I think there already was a topic about that although it was more about hats and miscs items, either way mine is a strange botkillersomething medigun or regular kritzkrieg, s. festive ubersaw and s. syringe gun (I personally find the syringe gun to be more reliable than the crossbow).

I play scout a lot, and I LOVE it when Medics heal me, not many Medics heal scout :( WIth the Quick-Fix the Medic can keep up with the Scout, and Scout is a really powerful class. Killing most classes in three to five hits up close, the Medic could do more healing a Scout than a Pyro or Heavy! Now, this is from someone who uses the Quick Fix and has a Medic buddy than uses the Quick-Fix before the update where medics could use the Quick-Fix and jump with Demo and Soldier. It's a good Medigun, just most people don't know how to use it or it's potentional.

I don't mind using the Quick-Fix when healing Scouts, but I really tend to stick with Kritzkrieg when healing them, because kritzed Scouts can really do rampages :D

When someone annoys me, it's often because they keep yelling "MEDIC" at me even when they are at full health/overhealed and I'm busy healing someone needing it rather than them. Some players really seem to think that they should have a Medic glued to themselves or the game can't happen; I usually either ignore them if I'm on a bad day, or heal them when I see they are injured but keep the ubers for some other players. If someone types "I said MEDIC" in the chat, like it happened some time ago (I wasn't Med this time), I often reply "it annoys Medics to be yelled at".

I don't see any reason for you not to try to play Medic as a second main class if you feel like it. As it has been said, the best is to try every class out and figure out which one(s) suit you the best.
Medic is personally my main class along with Solly and I definitely like the change of pace there is in playing as Medic, also if you're not experienced at all with that class, your overall experience of the game may help you figure the main things out. Most teams are happy if they have a decent Medic to help them; just keep in mind that class isn't exactly designed to run into danger and deal tons of damage and that you're slower than a Scout, stay around your teammates, heal them, defend yourself if you are alone and trying get to your teammates (a lonely Medic has lower chances of survival unless he/she really knows what he/she is doing) and everything should be okay :P
