Ok so 2 things that I had to do to get this sucker to work. First I had to use DGvoodoo 2 direct X emulation and Second I had to use the command line /gosnojoystick.

Now I am wondering if there is a way to fix this joystick issue. I have been scanning through .DLL's with HxD and see that dinput may be the issue. Now if there was a way to emulate older dinput.dll methods I think it would fix the problem.

add/remove windows features -> install Legacy Components. Also run game in 98 mode + disable fullscreen optimalisation. game works here. Win 10 with gtx 1060

I'd like to add some additional information. I just got MW4Mercs running (mtx edition). I added the dgvoodoo files but deleted two that someone suggested deleting (D3Dlmm.dll and DDraw.dll) that came with the dgvoodoo wrapper. I have to use the /nosgovideo option, and had to also use the /nosgojoystick option and the game ran.

Removing the no joystick option would result in a crash, even with no joysticks hooked up. However, I found that if I plugged in my sidewinder 2 and removed the no joysticks option, the game booted up and ran great (just played through the Styk peace talks mission).

Kinda weird but I thought I would put that out there.

Additionally, I had no troubles running MW4mercs when I had an AMD video card. I got an nvidia card and thats when I did have issues, but they seem to be resolved now =)
