Gmod server outdated/not updating
Hello, so ive installed the gmod server on ubuntu 14.04 64 bit. all works fine until i try to join the server it self,it says that the server is outdated. so i run this command : ./gmodserver update but it says its up to date.. is this my server? i tried it on both of my servers but no luck.

ill go to Ubuntu 15.04 or any OS and update and see if it works if the issue isnt solved on here, help is in need. thanks.

and i used your script to make multiple servers but today it started giving me errors on a new server i was making.

EDIT:
this is what i found in the console:

ERROR: Port 27015 was unavailable - quitting due to "-strictportbind" command-line flag!

Add "-debug" to the ./srcds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Sat Mar 26 13:29:44 EDT 2016: Server restart in 10 seconds

WARNING: Failed to load 32-bit libtinfo.so.5 or libncurses.so.5.
Please install (lib32tinfo5 / ncurses-libs.i686 / equivalent) to enable readline.
now the port is unavailable and "lib32tino5" failed to load?

again im on ubuntu 14.04 64-bit

EDIT2:

i made a server manually not via the script and it still gave me this error.. im gonna re-install everything including the OS and see if it works.

EDIT3:

i helped myself lmao,re-installing the OS fixed it:)
maybe i could of helped someone, but rip.
thanks for your helpful script!

First problem : Gmod updates are shit, you have to run ./gmodserver validate
Second problem : Port used by something else. You just had to look what processes were using that port.
Third problem : Required dependencies not installed.

1:re-installed gmod and validated 3-5 times
2: there was no other servers running other than this which wasnt running as well
3: i installed all dependencies that were downloaded by your script.

what solved this was re-installing and formatting the server.

Maybe something was wrong with your server. Sounds weird though.
