Hello

Below we will explain how you can use the shop system in our game servers. We also explain how to create an autoexec.cfg. With an autoexec.cfg you can store commands in an organized way to use the shop system very fast during gameplay, because you don't have to type all commands in chat. Read everything carefully!

General info

TIP: Show or hide commands in chat. This applies to all commands.

If you type !buy, Everyone can read your commands in chat.
If you type /buy, Nobody can read your commands in chat.

Example

Type in chat !buy boomer - Everyone can read you buy a boomer.
Type in chat /buy boomer - Nobody can read you buy a boomer.

NB: This hide trick also works if you use it in your autoexec.cfg file. Read on, and learn how to create autoexec.cfg file, and use the shop very fast.

The game

There are two teams. SI Special Infected and SU Survivors.

During the game you can decide for yourself in which team you want to play. You can do that very simply by typing !god or /god in your chat box.

You can buy almost everything that exists in L4D2 in both teams. The complete list of commands is also in this post if you scroll further. First I'm going to explain how you can use the commands quickly, without having to type everything in your chat.

Use the shop commands super fast

You can do this by giving the buttons on your keyboard fixed commands. This is also called keybind. If you have assigned fixed buttons to your keyboard, you only have to press 1 button to buy something. To do this properly and clearly, I recommend everyone to create a autoexec.cfg in your left4dead2\cfg folder. There are more options for keybind, but I will explain the best method.

Please note: This is NOT a cheat or hack. It is part of the options you have. Details can be found Here VALVE autoexec So you don't have to worry about a ban, or vac ban.

Create "autoexec.cfg"

1) Go to your "cfg" folder: steam\steamapps\common\Left 4 Dead 2\left4dead2\cfg
2) Right-click config.cfg file.
3) Read only should be disabled. The checkbox must be empty.
4) In the same folder where your config.cfg is located, create a new text file
5) Name the text file autoexec.cfg
6) The file extension must be .cfg and NOT .txt
7) Open your new autoexec.cfg file
8) Select and copy all you see between the blue lines below

9) Paste this into autoexec.cfg
10) Save the file, and exit + close folder
11) Start your Left 4 Dead 2 game
12) Join any Lewd-Elite game server
13) Wait until you are completely loaded into the server
14) Now press your J key

Switch team press J key

If everything went well, you have switched teams by pressing your J key once. How cool is that?. If it works, you can press the J key again, and you will automatically switch back to the Special Infected team.

When you are back in the Special Infected team, you can test whether you can buy a Special Infected with a key. Of course you need points for that. Make sure you have collected at least 10 points first. If you have 10 points and you are killed by a Survivor, or by fire or an explosion, you immediately press your kp_rightarrow key. You will immediately become a Boomer.

Settings

If the above actions functioned well, it is important that you memorize all the keyboard buttons. Write them down, or print out your autoexec.cfg. Do you want to assign other keys on your keyboard to other functions? That's very easy.

Change bind keys settings

1) Quit your L4D2 game
2) Go to your autoexec.cfg
3) Change kp_rightarrow key to u

Example:

Old keybind: bind "kp_rightarrow" "!buy boomer" // Boomer
New keybind: bind "u" "!buy boomer" // Boomer

If you now press the u key while in a game, you become a Boomer.

NB! Make sure you do NOT connect two commands to 1 button.
NB! Check in-game keyboard/mouse settings, or config.cfg, to avoid double commands.
