Five Rapid Rages; Star Wars: The Old Republic
Hello again, it'sa me!

After a bit of monkeying about, we're proven we can't make descisions and are playing TOR as well! It's the Tuesdays here, 8pm UK time, as usual.

We're on the Progenitor Server and have gone with Empire/Sith/TeamRed, and by jingo I'm glad I did, since the Sith Empire seems to be peopled almost exclusively by deliciously overacting Radio 4 continuity announcers with a penchant for Evil. My out-of-combat self-heal is literally 15 seconds of Being Really Angry! It's remarkable how many of you good-natured happy-go-lucky folk took to Evil with so much relish!

Given what our dedicated team of dedicated experts say, it does all seem to be an MMO of the old school, despite the modern Starfighter trappings, and you will all have to be on Team "I studied at RADA you know" to play with us - it doesn't do cross-teaming. Also, trinity class roles look to be important; Tank, Healer and the Other One, so that's something to bear in mind for character creation going forward. We are likely to have enough Tanks and Healers already voulenteered for a couple of groups worth, but we'll see as we go.

I may be wrong, but I suspect level ranges are going to be important too - try not to get too far ahead or behind with the Tuesday character, and I'd recommend starting an alt if you plan on playing lots during the rest of the week.

I'm 'VanHemlock', because apparently 'Darth Vader' wasn't allowed! If you fancy failing me for the last time, do get in touch!

Regarding these groupnights in general, I'm starting to think group-based sub-channels on Mumble might not be a bad idea. I do enjoy the general pandemonium of Planetside 2 chat, or Guns of Icarus, but TOR and TSW are likely to get more and more confusing as we go forward, given the smaller groups off doing different things. Or more confusingly, the same thing!

Hear hear.
I have to confess a guilty pleasure ...I enjoy listening to a certain Radio 4 show that's on every day. I have for about 15 years or so....so its not just because I am an old fart.
I'm sure you can guess what it is.
Anyway Tim is spot on - at least one of the actors from the show does the voice over work for some of the vendor NPCs in SWTOR - which threw me at first ....
"what are you doing here David Archer - you should be getting the cows in at Brookfield Farm"
...
.......damn I've given it away.
Oh Shula, thank goodness you're here, the nerf have broken down the electric fence and they're halfway up the Dark Valley, Darth Grundy's going to do his nut...

"Vader" isn't allowed in a name, for some strange reason, but I did have a Geoffvayder on an old server (capable of killing catering with a tray: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sv5iEK-IEzw )
Keeping close level-wise is going to be important and though we probably should seperate out into seperate group-channels, there's nothing stopping us mixing things up a bit each week, provided both groups are at about the same place. We'll see as we go, me thinks :)
I'm just glad I've found another listener of the Archers!
