i really think upscaling is a eazy fix and one way to help people with low powered Stream Boxes play games with lower lag as you're now only decoding 720p but we also want to keep the native 1080p ;)

Tried a number of things to get the steam link at a stable 60fps and forcing a switch to NVFBC finally got it there. I'm not sure how
steam decided which encoder to use but NVFIR gives 30-40fps with a lot of pixelation and turning off hardware encoding so it uses 2 thread lib limits it to 30fps with tearing and pixelation. Have a reddit

ISSUE
I have a W11 small PC hooked to a dumb TV, basic Windows setup, nothing special. Every time I start a game via Stream, the Steam Big Picture interface starts the process of waiting before going


STEPS
-Start Steam in Big Picture mode.
-Choose any game to stream from Host PC to TV PC.
-Start the Stream.
-Steam will start the game stream in the background before moving it to the foreground

Hi I've been attempting to use the in home streaming feature to play games from my windows 7 machine on my laptop running Linux (Fedora 20 - 3.14 Kernel).

I can connect to my windows machine and see

when I launch the game on the steam link from the big picture mode, a black screen appears and nothing else happens. On the monitor of my host pc game is displayed. My other games are gta5
, oxenfree, witness, etc. Stream without problems. Steam = stabil (not beta) on pc and link

troublesome when I use streaming from the Win 7 machine to the machine with SteamOS.

Since the Win 7 machine is setup for Dvorak and the SteamOS expects qwerty, I can't steam the games that I have configured
I have 2 computers: one with SteamOS and one with Windows 7, both of which I have the Dvorak keyboard layout set.

When I setup keyboard shortcuts on Windows 7, it takes the Dvorak key as expected

Only when streaming the new game Thief the darkness goes way down. It even happens to the steam overlay in this game. I have not had this happen to any other game so it isn't an issue with my TV not

Streaming worked wonders for me in my household but it suddenly stopped working to day.
