No Sound/Audio for Client
ISSUE
Since 12th November, there has been no audio on the client side when using remote play, or when streaming a game.

OS
as host
Windows 11
OS had current update up to 12th November 2024.

STEPS
Launch any game with remote play as host, invite client to session.
Client accepts invite.

TRIED
All settings in the steam menu - remote play relating to sound
Ensured all the volume settings on the steam overlay are correctly set (i.e. nothing muted)
Switching host and client to check it's not specific to a single user

RESULTS
When the client accepts, the game starts as normal but aside from the sound made when accepting the invite (on the client side) there is no in game sound.

EXPECTED
Client side should have in game audio.

Same problem.

Please open a support ticket for this so that somebody in charge will eventually get notified.

Help -> Steam Support -> Steam Client -> Steam Client Crashes (no better option sadly) -> Contact Steam Support

They told me that they are basically ignoring my request for now, but are monitoring whether more people report the same issue.
