no remote play window pop up with Steam VR remote play games

The issue is with Steam VR games while playing with Steam Remote Play with or without big picture active

For about 6 months or so Steam VR has an issue with remote play. If you play a VR game that you can invite friends, it will NOT pop up with the remote play window. The window is crucial for assigning your friend with keyboard controls (or even controllers, and controller numbers and such) This is a pain in the butt. It is for every VR game. The work around is that i must choose to boot into a non vr game (with remote play features) to see the remote play window pop up and then assign the keyboard to my friend, then close that game (this somehow remembers the setting they had chosen this session) and then boot up the vr game i want to invite him to and he should now have the keyboard i assigned him on the non vr game in the vr game. Can valve for the love of god please fix this issue soon pretty please with cherries on top!

starting to doubt if this will get any attention, as its been a long time with developers also reporting the issue to valve but getting no response from valve on if when a fix will arrive.
