Not able to wake steamlink with PS4 controller if it's connected via wireless adapter
Issue
There is a special USB dongle for Dualshock 4 controller called DUALSHOCK 4 USB Wireless Adapter (CUH-ZWA1)[www.playstation.com]. I often use it when connecting a DS4 controller to non-PS4 devices (including my Steam Link). Most of the features work fine, however a Dualshock connected this way doesn't seem to be able to wake the Steam Link at all. The same controller wakes the Steam Link without issues if it is connected directly to the link, without this adapter. (I believe the problem is that the adapter alters the PS button signal somehow, the controller connects to the adapter, but steam link ignores this fact and remains turned off).

P.S. I know that Dualshock 4 can be connected wirelessly, without the dongle, but this adapter slightly extends the DS4 functionality and enables headset part of the controller (and other hardware extensions, like back attachment) which otherwise work only if the controller is wired.

SteamLink firmware
Release: Public
Build: 835

Steps to Reproduce
  1. Connect a Dualshock4 USB adapter to a Steam Link;
  2. Connect a Dualshock 4 controller to the adapter (Steam Link turns on);
  3. Turn off the Steam Link;
  4. Turn off the Dualshock4 by holding the PS button;
  5. Press or hold PS button on the connect Dualshock 4;

Results
Dualshock4 turns on and connects to the Dualshock4 USB adapter. Steam Link remains turned off.

Expected
Steam Link turns on. (ideally it also should turn off the controller, without having to manually turn the controller off when you turn off the Steam Link)

you dont need the usb adapter, just go to the links bt menu and pair the controller directly to the link, (hold share+ps til the controller flashes white)

Thank you for posting this. I realize it's probably a pretty niche problem, but it's still a pain.

I've also had this behave pretty sporadically with recent updates.

- Sometimes turning the Steam Link off via the menu will make the controller's light bar turn off, but the controller is still on and using battery power.

- Sometimes turning the Steam link off and controller off (by holding the PS button) will result in the Steam Link waking itself up continually.
