BUG: Periodic regular escape character press from nowhere while streaming

ISSUE
There is a periodic (approximately 3-4 seconds) escape character button press that seems to come from nowhere. This happens even if the controller (steam controller) is turned off and all USB peripheral are detached from the computer.

OS
Windows 7

STEPS (example 1)
Start up steam link
Connect to my PC from the main menu
RESULTS
Steam big picture loads as expected but the main menu opens and shuts every few seconds. An escape character is issued every few seconds making navigating around difficult. In game if the escape key is bound it it pressed every few seconds.

STEPS (example 2)
Start up different laptop on same network
navigate to steam
select game for in home streaming from windows 7 PC
RESULTS
Game is streamed as expected but if the escape key is bound in game then it is triggered every few seconds impacting gameplay.

EXPECTED
There should be no erroneous inputs when streaming

I am having this exact same issue, but on both win11 boxes. were you able to figure out the problem?

Same issue as you guys, streaming from my PC to my Mac, doesn't matter what game i choose i get this random frustrating ESC input every 3-4 seconds..
