Logitech F310 gamepad and others cause client input to disconnect

I think it started after the latest update to Steam.

I've tried both of my Logitech F310s in D and X input on Windows 10 Pro x64, Fedora 26 x64, and Ubuntu 17.04 x64 but less than a minute after streaming games, it causes all of the client's input to hold the last button used then cut out to the host PC for around 5-20 seconds. Oddly while this is happening, I can still press Start X and Start Y to take screenshots and show performance stats.
I've tested multiple computers as clients so far, same thing happening.
The gamepads work fine outside of Steam on Host and Client machines.

Edit 1: tested another PC, and it also happens on my PS3 controller, usb and bluetooth

I guess for now I'll use GameStream and Moonlight.

This was an issue with the Steam Client Beta that I was running into a couple of days ago. The fix was simple, downgrade to the public client (non-beta). This worked. But Valve pushed the beta client update to the public, so all of us are stuck with freezing controller inputs for the time being.

I hope valve pushes a fix in the next few days, fingers crossed. As all us In-Home Streaming users are running into this issue:

This is quite annoying as I use IHS to play most of my library. Hope they fix it soon.
