Vince no I haven't checked that but normally I don't have an output device called Steam Streaming. Is it only available when I start a Remote play or is it a pre-installed feature? I check it quick
Is it something that we need to install as well?
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but I have noticed that recent versions of Steam Remote Play often have issues selecting the correct audio output device on the Windows stream server, leading to no audio on the client computer while streaming. I had to disable unused audio device drivers in device manager to workaround the problem.
What I mean by output device:

Everyone please open a support ticket for this so that somebody in charge will eventually get notified.
Help -> Steam Support -> Steam Client -> Steam Client Crashes (no better option sadly) -> Contact Steam Support
They told me that they are basically ignoring my request for now, but are monitoring whether more people report the same issue.
yes, all people have the sound of remote play broken at one point, this is their problem and not ours
First thing, I set my steam client to the beta version like he suggested, then also set the advanced stream setting to play sound ON THE HOST DEVICE (I know, seems counterintuitive). Then I ensured that the output on the host device is set to Steam Streaming Speakers, and to be double sure I checked that Steam in the sound mixer was set to Default so it was using the system sound setting.
Hopefully this helps someone with this issue!
