How to get remote play to work again between wired pcs without an internet connection?
Hi, I was playing jedi survivor on the highest settings on my laptop and using remote play to stream it over two ethernet cables connected to a AC Wi-Fi router to reach the pc connected to the TV and it worked amazingly well. I was also able to play horizon zero dawn at the highest settings going half way over ethernet and the other by wifi to remote play on the steam deck, which also worked really well. But I don't have internet currently and all of steams remote play features have stopped working. I don't know why it would do this cause both pcs are wired by ethernet and the wifi shouldn't require internet to work for the steam deck remote play. On the pcs under settings and remote play in steam, both pcs can see the other computer but they list them as not connected. How would I be able to make all of steams remote play work again without requiring an internet connection? Thank you for your time.

Also, Electronic Arts is requiring a login which requires an internet connection to play jedi survivor and it appears you have to do this for both computers, so twice every time you play the game, and it also never remembers the password and login even when I've told it to keep me logged in. I have tried to contact EA about this and there appears to be no human customer service available to help address these issues. If a game is bought on steam, internet connections and extra log ins should not be required to play a game you purchased.

Thanks for your help

if you are having a problem running the game, ask in the games forum

remote play, can work without internet connection
use link app for windows, android, apple, tv, etc...
pair host and client

make sure the routers wifi isolation is disabled, along with any vpn and the host can ping the client ip address

Thanks for the help. Steam just kicked me off while writing my response which was long.

Anyways, the steam link app didn't fix the problem. With the app installed on both computers they each could not find the other when scanning or by clicking the other computer button. I don't think the steam link app is needed. Remote play worked before when just having steam open on both computers. The only thing that changed is not having internet currently. When Veiwing steams remote play settings both computers can see the other computer but say they're not connected.
