SUGGESTION: PS3 or Console as Streaming Client

Dear Valve,

It would be awesome if I can install a PS3 or other 'powerful console' app that can work as a Streaming Client in my living room.

My PC or Steam Machine will ast as a streaming server.
My PS3 will ast as a streaming client.
I will use a wireless/usb mouse and keyboard with the PS3 to play.

I think PS3 or XBOX is good enought to be a streaming client.

It's easy enough that I wouldn't be too surprised if something like a Raspberry Pi could do it.

That said, I also think that seeing a streaming app on on competitor's console would be unlikely, BUT I wouldn't count it out entirely. It doesn't magically open the door to all of Steam. One would still have to have a Steam "server" computer, from which the games will be streamed.

Has anyone managed to get steam to run on a Raspberry Pi?

I am fairly certain that Sony would never let such a thing come to pass.

You may want that, but it's up to Sony whether they allow the release of such an app on the PS3 or PS4. Sony controls what software is available on their consoles through their PlayStation Store. Valve can make a Steam app if they want to, but there's no incentive for Sony to allow its release. They don't get anything out of it.

And you say that you think the PS3 and Xbox 360 are good enough to be streaming clients, but I don't know if you understand any of the technical details behind streaming games.
