Dragon Age and Titanfall work far better this way, for example. Not sure what you can do if it's the Steam version. Maybe add UPlay as a non-Steam game anyway and try launching from there? Seems like Steam gets confused sometimes when other windows start popping up.
EDIT: Forgot that I did what you mentioned and have added uplay as a non-steam game. It worked earlier also, but now I keep getting the same problem where it starts for a few seconds in the background (client). And then nothing, but it has starten on the host.
But why? Why does steam seem to have the issue to close the application on the host, and other times not. doesn't make sense for me!
But now I have the issue where I'm trying to use the xbox controller on the host, so it picks up it's a controller input, not a keyboard. But Far Cry 4 doesn't recognize it?
1: stream uplay via client
2: go to host and start FC4 via uplay
3: wait with the host til' it has completly loaded.
4: use a controller on the host (press any key --- wait --- move stick so you see the layout changes in the main menu).
5: go play that shait on the client.
I know this is an old thread but I'm trying to get it to work. I can get it to stream to the TV but input doesn't work. I launch Ubisoft as a non Steam game. Do I need a controller on the host and a second controller on the client? I only have one controller.
